Deep Thoughts for Tired Minds

Alright, it's been awhile since I've posted anything thought provoking or deep, and it's going on midnight now and I'm exhausted so it's not going to happen now either. But this is really earth shakingly, life changingly, go out and buy some chapstick because the nuclear fallout could happen anyday nowly, .......well I lost that train of thought...... oh yeah so this is one of those things that kind of defines who you are. I was sitting in Dairy Queen down near the airport in Purdue West. It was a day alot like today. Actually it was a whole lot like today, since it kind of was today. While staring blankly out the window trying to ignore the textbook infront of me just begging for attention, some girl (not a woman. As young as these freshman look now she was definitely a girl.) But anyway girl or woman that's beside the point, the point is the inhuman way she treated her bike by literally tossing in down onto the side walk before coming inside to get something to eat kind of got my attention. I was pretty tired and bored so I was easily distracted. And actually that's not the point either. The thing that's really important here is that as she was riding away, the answer to an age old mystery was thrown right out into broad daylight for all to see. I think I've finally figured out why the bars on women's bikes are made to dip so low compared to men's bikes. This whole concept never really made sense to me as a kid, and the lack of a valid answer drove me to the point of having to just ignore the whole issue...... till today. As a kid I always thought that the bike manufactures got it backwards. Kathryn never really did anything crazy on her bike, or at least anything that would require extra clearance from that middle bar. I, on the other hand, saw that clearance as very beneficial since the straight bar on my bike had a way of regularly reminding me it was there when I jumped off ramps and things like that. So it never made sense to me why the girls get the extra clearance. So now we see my college education at work: the aformetioned girl happened to be wearing this skirt like dress kind of thing, and as she rode away it suddenly made perfect sense that maybe that bar was like that because, especially back as bike styles were just emerging, the girls might have been wearing dress like things and this lower bar let them ride the bike without having to hike the skirt up to spleen level. So there you have it, simple as could be. Five years of college are now totally worth the pain.

So now I've got to know, how many of you already had this all figured out. Am I the only one that's been in the dark all these years? Maybe if I had tried wearing a kilt this would all have made sense sooner..... I wonder what other mysteries remain unsolved because I haven't worn a kilt.... We may never know. Alright so obviously it's past my bed time ....... so later all.

Lunchmeat sandwich in paradise, Ham and Turkey with mustard'd be nice.

Even though I knew I should be studying all day, one of my classmates, Garrett, and I grabbed my canoe and headed out for the Tippicanoe river for a little relaxation. Turned out to be an awesome little get away. The weather was perfect even though the forcast said t storms, the whole deal only took around four hours, and we got to enjoy a lunch meat sandwhich in paridise here on this island we found in the middle of the river. Actually, he had the sandwich, I just ate trail mix bars and gatorade. But it was still awesome. And I think I know were we can find an island to camp on now too..... Posted by Picasa

Well, I just finished bending my bicycle seat back to a shape that resembles a bike seat after it was deformed this past sat. by an awesome bike trip. So I figured I'd post some of the pics from the trip while I was at it. This is one of two pictures that we got actually out on the trail. This dog named Dixie ran with us the whole way and had way too much fun doing it. We got her to pose here with Eric. Posted by Picasa

Taking a break in the pine forest. Steve's on the cell.... for real lol.... and Eric is showing great emotion in eating his snack. Posted by Picasa

Eric Meditating or looking at his finger nails or pretending to lift weights or saying "show me da money". Take your pick, or write in what he's doing if I've just totally missed the mark. Posted by Picasa

Here's that movie that I was talking about with some of y'all with the old lady and the airplane. One of my profs played this for us in class. I'll let you all decide if it's real or not. I think it's real. Just like Santa. I'm in a lab right now and should be paying attention so later all.

He had fire in his chest

There was a desperate plee from Josh that I post my picture of the tortured death of an orphaned chest of drawers that I mentioned earlier. So I figured I'd take a break from homework to post it on here. I'm doomed to do homework all night though, 'cause that's one of the reasons I gave myself as to why I probably shouldn't drive back for the Road Rally and if I stop doing homework I'll probably turn into a orchid because I'd feel guilty about not going back cause I had to do homework and then not doing homework. I don't know why people always just use one fruit of the spirit when saying goodbye to someone. You know, like "peace out man" or just "peace". I guess they just don't know the other ones. So Self Control out y'all

Slipping further and further from a sane state of mind.........

Hey y'all! Well I thought about posting on here tonight about another awesome biking trip a bunch of us went on this past weekend, or possibly about getting to shoot at everything in sight out in a forest with an AK 47 assault rifle and crash a motorcycle and then burn an entire wooden dresser on monday, or possibly just contemplating the deepest woes of a large part of the world that is just drifting without direction, but I just realized that it's almost 10:30 at night and I have an essay that I had totally spaced due tomorrow morning at 8:30, not to mention all the RR F-109 test cell data I was supposed to plug into excel and generate graphs to analyze even further into a cross eyed oblivion. wow, if that isn't a run on sentence then my name aint ..... uh yeah whatever it was.
